The specific dynamic: an ATS is a system that affects dozens of people in the organisation who weren't involved in the purchasing decision. Hiring managers who used to receive CVs by email now have to log into a new system to see applications. Department heads who used to get status updates via Slack now have to look at a dashboard. Integration scope creep — the silent timeline killer
It seems like every ATS implementation that runs over time and over budget has the same specific culprit: integrations added to scope after the initial project was defined.
